I don’t even know what I got myself into but I am SO excited. The mini human is turning 11 this year and she works so hard between school and full time gymnastics that I thought I would reward her by allowing her to design her dream room. I wanted to show you how I (realistically) paint a room and create an accent wall. I can’t wait to see what else she designs for her space and share it with you all! Happy Friday and hope you all have a great weekend xx.

  1. So you did the playroom, now you're doing the bedroom. Is a bathroom makeover in the future? Haha. I'm guessing not your house looks really nice so I'm sure the bathrooms are modern and stylish. Great job! Cant wait to see the finished product!

  2. SportAngel V says:

    I love the accent wall

  3. MsSassyMT says:

She definitely has her own style. Love it! Can't wait to see what you guys come up with for the bed makeover.

  4. Lauren T says:

Please share replacing the rug if you decide to do this! Thank you 😊

  5. It will be interesting to see what you do to the furniture.

  6. Are you serious $750 to paint a guest bathroom? I would have painted three bedrooms for that price.

  7. Paula Hass says:

Awesome job! We're actually getting ready to paint our dining room and kitchen next month and the tips will definitely come in handy! As always, I just love how Callie comes to the doorway to "criticize" you while you're working! Everyone loves a critic, especially if she has four legs and a tail! I love the color for the accent wall!! TFS! 💖

  8. Excited to see the rest of this room makeover!

  9. YR says:

I love the accent wall and the fact that she picked the more sea green than the blue ocean tones, it's so tranquil and serene for a bedroom, I can't wait to see the results when the whole thing is done!

  10. I got my master bedroom done in that colour. It is so relaxing in there.

  11. Joan Snow says:

I thank you so much for this video, it’s a must watch
Dexter? Definitely a crazy bloody show
We do use a great deal plastic in this world 😫
It is all about using primer, not just paint with primer. I do know this much 😉
OMG, those stickers look so good!

  12. Too much plastic just for one use…

  13. “I see sheets of plastic in your future” 🤣

  14. LaliBanani says:

Hey Rachel, I really love your videos and your laid back vibes, have been a follower for years now and don't usually comment on videos. but please don't use those plastic liners 🙁 It's so easy to clean the actual containers and we really don't need to add any more plastic to the planet. <3

  15. CG ELMORE says:

I love the liners for cleanup- a great invention. I didn't have good luck with frog tape. 🙁 anyone else have trouble with it or just me?

  16. when is phase 2 posted? i’m so excited to see what it looks like in the end!!!

  17. Ann_Karat says:

Painting tip, make W’s as you paint not just up and down motions. Helps cover more and ends up smoother.

  18. A chandelier in a girls bedroom, this must be a Cinderella theme or something out of a fairy tale!

  19. If you don’t mind, what do you do for work?

  20. I like how you call them *MINI HUMANS*

  21. Ashley L says:

Rachel your videos are so rad. I just love you and the content you make 🥰 Thanks for showing a single mama how to be handy 💜

can we get an update 😍

  23. Berricream24 says:

What a beautiful accent wall! Really enjoyed this video!

  24. Gin says:

    I freakin' LOVE your videos!!!

  25. Does anyone know of a greener way to protect the furniture and floors? Trying not to use as much plastic

  26. Katrina B says:

We need an update!! How is the new floor? Did she get new furniture?

  27. I wish you would have used a lot less plastic though… For instance, getting rid of the plastic liners and using old sheets to cover the floors instead of the transparent plastic sheets would have been much kinder on the environment.

  28. Carly H says:

Girl, you do not look like youre old enough to have kids!

  29. Faery Chains says:

your daughter is so mature and well spoken for her age ! 🙂

  33. j says:

I honestly felt that power stance

  34. Su Doki says:

Me seeing her struggle with the furniture: do you need a hand?

  35. I have paint clothes I dedicated to wear when painting. Better than a jumpsuit or trying to not get paint on me. Love that accent wall!

  36. Love how the paint and gold dots turned out!! Thanks for sharing your tips! ❤😊 you rock!

  37. Audrey S says:

If you don’t want to do 3 coats, you need to buy paint and primer combo from a Sherwin-Williams or Benjamin Moore store, not from the hardware store. I did my living room with ONE coat of sherwin-Williams emerald paint. I think it’s like $40-50 per can.

  38. i hope your mini human knows how lucky she is to have you!
